Advocacy in Action

The Down Syndrome Association of San Diego is actively engaged in key local, state and national initiatives, influencing policy and practices that impact health care, education and social service programs. DSA is affiliated with the National Down Syndrome Society Governmental Affairs Committee. The legislative and policy priorities of the NDSS National Policy Center span the life experience of individuals with Down syndrome from birth through adulthood and range in issue from healthcare to asset development. We encourage you to educate your local, state and federal representatives about issues important to your family and get involved in the process. The DSA is committed to making a difference in the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
